Welcome to Lost Meanderings
This is a website about the latest meanderings in technology and the financial struggle encountered as these new technologies pursue commercialization.
As open source becomes closed and visa-versa, it is recognizable that ideas have been and will always be created faster than they can be stolen; for every genius idea stolen, a new one is created and as our technology pushes us to the edge of current knowledge - we will move towards ideas of production before the components for our products can even be materialized.
Technology is Soaring
THERE IS NO DOUBT, that with such a rapid advancement in sciences, we should be unafraid to pitch our ideas to online communities and companies. It is truly very rare that an inventor realizes only one idea in his or her lifetime. Rather, innovators are likely to have multiple realizations when working on all-day projects. The current advancements in material sciences, soft electronics, and nanopower are providing so much mental material that websites such as Kickstarter.com are drawing in innovators whom are fearlessly pitching ideas to millions. If failed, projects are unrewarded and exposed. It is this new foot forward in open-source computing and engineering which allows for ideas to come out of the woodwork at such a rapid pace. Technology is no longer limited to those with specialized degrees and humanity is realizing that it can learn much of what has been taught in school by surfing online. While the internet may not yet completely replace traditional schooling, the possibilities in intelligent chat rooms allow for complete strangers to communicate their technical problems from across the globe. This is free tech support and all that is expected is that the user will pay it forward when a fellow comrade is in need. Complete trust in other techies, hundreds of dollars into projects and start ups; makers are trusting fellow hackers as they are guided through the world wide web of open code. |
